Obedience is Love and Fear of the Lord

And Nathan said to David, Thou art the man. Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I anointed thee king over Israel, and I delivered thee out of the hand of Saul;
And I gave thee thy master's house, and thy master's wives into thy bosom, and gave thee the house of Israel and of Judah; and if that had been too little, I would moreover have given unto thee such and such things.
Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the LORD, to do evil in his sight? thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife to be thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.
2 Samuel 12:7-9

As you have read the story of David.. God loved Him dearly because of His honesty in repentance.
God had used a parable of two men. One Rich and one Poor.
As we go through the story, David was the rich man whom have taken away the wife of a poor soldier. Without hesitation, he took took consciously the wife  of the soldier by planning a constructive death that may lead the wife being alone. God had blessed David with all abundance but of it all, he envied what others have. He covet his neighbours house.
It's as though God says:
David, I had all kinds of favors and blessings and resources and power that I have given you. And if though those blessings and abundance were little enough, I would have given more. If you have asked of more, if you have told me although I know it already, it would've been good to hear what you wanted. I have everything that I can pour out more in your life, more than what  you have now.
But why David? Why have you chosen to do things that are not good in my sight? Why have you chosen to harm your neighbour? Why have you taken away from them the blessing that I have given them? When you know what's right yet you still  did what was wrong..

In our lives, modern times..
We mostly focus on what others have. We have taken for granted what we have and what God had bestowed us.
Have you ever asked yourself once?
What are the positive things I have in life?
What are the things I have received from God?
Have I hurt God in such things that I do that gives pleasure to my flesh yet unrighteous in His sight?
Have I put shame on my Father's head because of my iniquities?
Our life, our families, Our jobs and much blessings. Abundance is what Blessing means and yet we have  closed our eyes to those  blessings. But God is so good that blessings still continually flow in our lives. Would you reconsider yourself to do what's right even when you don't feel like doing it?
When temptations come, would you allow yourself to indulge in it rather than ask for guidance from God to lead you into righteousness.
You will have choices, and because God loves you. Yes He will bless you abundantly, even when you sinned against HIM he will still give you your needs. Just like a loving Father and Mother who can't ignore its child. Still love and care reside.
But what about God's heart? Although He is a good and kind father providing our needs, have you ever thought how much He felt when we ignore righteousness and do evil things continually?
Is your conscience there reminding you that there is something wrong you have done and you must make it right. And if your guilt confronts you, it would tell you exactly that what had been done was wrong..and your shame would follow you to say that yeah you are wrong..Because only by yourself you would know it. When all people's gone beside you. God would convict you.
What you gonna do about it?
Are you going to repent and admit it towards God? Are you going to the people you have hurt and apologize or would you rather defend yourself right although you are wrong.

We all have our sides to defend. We all have our stories. We all have our own choices to make. To choose to do evil and to choose to do good. That is God's love. That we may all have freewill. A freedom of choice.
Make your choices when temptations and trials come. For the devil is at the door waiting for a soul to detour. It is when God sees your character as His legitimate child showing through obedience doing what's right even though you don't feel like doing it.
For God knows time to time. You may fail, but God's grace will always be with you.
